Congratulations to our new team of prefects, who were chosen from a very large field of wonderful children by our staff.
The teachers picked a shortlist of children which was then voted on by all of the teaching staff in school. These wonderful role models were the children with the most votes due to their behaviour, work rate, attitude and manners (amongst other things!)
Oakmeadow Prefects work in two teams; the Leadership team and the Curriculum and Learning Team. During the year these teams will lead on a variety of initiatives including safer schools, children’s safeguarding board and eco schools.

Oakmeadow and Head boy
I think Oakmeadow is a great school, which focuses on education and how you learn. If you get stuck, your teacher will always be happy to help. As head boy it is my duty to listen to any child’s worries and do something about it. We are always trying to find ways to improve this school. Prefects and school council are always trying hard. We respect this school and can safely call it our second home.
I hope you enjoyed reading this article about me.

I have many hobbies, many of you might know that me and the Deputy Head girl and a few others go to a really fun judo lesson and before you ask it is not martial arts it is self-defence! I also love swimming, I did the Shrewsbury School’s Swimming Gala in June. I love most things, apart from maths.
I live with My Mum, Dad, Grandad, brother and sister. I am the youngest in my house and I enjoy that role! I have five fish called Sid, Clara, Klint, Goldie and a yellow tailed blue damsel. I also have a super cute Cocker Spaniel called Pippa.
I hope you know more about me and if you have any questions - just ask!
Piper McDonald, Deputy Head Girl
All about me
Hi, I’m Piper McDonald or better known as Oakmeadow’s Deputy Head girl. This is an article about some things you might not know about me.
First of all, on a Tuesday I commit to a tap and jazz class because I love dancing. It is at theatre Severn in town and I really enjoy it. Secondly, on Wednesday, I go to a fun judo club with the Head girl (Keira Price) and a few others. This is a club of self-defence, and no, it’s not kicking and punching like martial arts. It is more throwing people gently and completing hold downs on the ground. It is very enjoyable and keeps you fit. The leader is kind and helps if you’re stuck. On Saturday I do theatre drama club at Theatre Severn again and it is brilliant. I am also starting a new gym club.
I live with my mum, dad and my older brother, Archie. I am the youngest in my family and I enjoy that! Also, I have a cute Jack Russell called Daisy, who we all adore and a bearded dragon called Smaug, like the one in the Hobbit.
My role a Deputy Head girl.
I do some jobs as a deputy such as: emptying the worry boxes with the Deputy Head boy and setting up assembly.
I hope you know more about me, thank you for listening, bye!
